raindrops keep falling on my head

The last couple of days have been quite entertaining.. inside my head at least. I'm not sure if it's the fact that I am bored with the monotony of my life right now (I have quite a predictable schedule), or if I'm getting excited to leave or what, but for some reason I have been bouncing around the house saying lots of weird stuff and feeling quite happy with myself.

The other theory holds that it is the rain that is getting to me. The last two nights there have been wicked lightening storms. Last night was the biggest one I had ever seen in my life yo'! The lightening was literally right outside our house, I was convinced we were going to get hit. This is a pic from tonight, it does not by any means do the scene justice, but nonetheless looks kind of cool.

I happen to like it when it rains. Well, sometimes at least. It is definitely welcome right now because it has been so hot out lately. It's a nice change in scenery. Now that there is fog hiding the mountains it seems to close us in and makes our rustic, vacation-in-the-woods-type log house seem even more cozy. It would be a perfect scrabble night.

Now, what would be an appropriate way to end this entry?

... I don't know where grand beach is, but likely nowhere near me since there was a tornado.

We get crazy storms here too...things fly away, things fall down...it's nuts. And the rain is wild. Complete novelty to someone from Victoria, where thunder and lightning border on myth.
