This is the biggest spider in the world, known as the Goliath Tarantula. The best part about this daddy is that it makes a hissing noise that can be heard from 15 feet away, mmm that's hot. I think I would literally scream myself to death if I saw one of these (that happens right?). Even the picture gives me the shivers. There must be some masochistic instinct within me because I always force myself to take a close look when a spider is around (as long as it is stationary and not heading in my direction).
Just thought I'd throw this picture out there for any of you who are as scared of spiders as I am.. Enjoy.

I heard that there are some of those spiders that like to hang down in the Oregon Coast, catching Jetta riding campers unawares in their sleep....
