daily medicine

Here's the scenario: last September I made a big change in my life. I had been comfortably living in Victoria for the past few years. I had become quite accustomed to my beloved routine. Anyways, we packed up and moved across the pond to the big city of Vancouver. Suddenly my routine changed. All my friends and adopted family were no where to be seen. My boyfriend was around at night but was gone most of the day at school. Exactly the place I should have been. It was my last semester. I had enrolled myself at UBC to complete a biology and a logic class and I took two classes distance ed. through UVIC. I was so. tired. of school. I ended up never going to class and doing all my work from home, I couldn't be bothered. I was so. over. school. I cannot stress this point enough, clearly I haven't gotten over the trauma yet.

So, who cares and what's the point? Well I don't know who cares. I do though, enough to blog about it at least. And, the point is this.. While adjusting to a big move and a new city I needed my daily dose of laughter. Somehow I managed to stumble across the Ellen Degeneres Show. I don't have to tell anyone who she is but maybe what I do how to tell you is just how hilarious she is. Every chance I get I watch her show. We get it twice a day so usually I'm around to watch it. If I'm home at 11 in the morning I wait until then to cozy up on the couch and enjoy my morning coffee. This has become part of my new beloved routine. Tomorrow that routine will be shaken up a bit, but I will be home some days during the week as my job consists of two or three 12 hour shifts and then a mandatory three days off. On those days off, I will try to get my daily dose.

Ellen is lovely. Not only is she effortlessly hilarious she also does so many good things to make people's lives better. If I had power and money I would want to do what she does. So, if you happen to be home during the day and need a bit of a time out check out her show. You will laugh. Laughing is good. This is her doing her show from bed because she was sick. That makes me laugh. If I had a talk show I would love to film it in my PJ's. Soo my kind of thing.. Not that I plan on having a talk show. Any time soon at least..

I also love Ellen! I wish she would talk about her love life more though, I'm super curious.

I miss my blog,

Julie

You should start blogging again. I totally stopped for ages but I didn't delete it so I decided to attempt to ressurect it. Do it! Bring blogging back. I like to be entertained!!
