I just want to say that our society is not very accomidating to the minorities. As a (partially visible) minority - representing the 10% of the population who are left-handed I am outraged. You want examples...?
The university of victoria classrooms have about a 20:1 ratio right-handed to left-handed desks. As a result I have to get to class as soon as the class before is dismissed. As someone who likes to take their sweet-ass time in the morning this is a disconcerning subject. I lose ten minutes of lulling around the house, primping myself to make sure I look oh-so-lovely for whichever professor I may want to sweet talk on that particular day.
Scissors are a major cause for concern.
Most knives only have a sharp blade on one side of the knife, you have probably never noticed, and may not believe me, but I swear it is true.
My latest obstacle - guitars. I have called three guitar shops and between the three there are only like four models for me to choose from - one of the stores have zero left handed guitars. How do they expect me - the keen consumer, to spend my hard earned money (or maybe my Dad's) on this beautiful instrument when I have such limited selection? Alas, I have grown used to this option and will probably suck it up and buy the darn thing.
FUN FACT: 2500 left handed people die each year from using right handed instruments.. That's right, I said FACT.

You may think that there is big business to be had in the left handed industry.....but if the Simpsons, Ned Flanders in particular, has taught us anything, a Leftorium just isnt very good business!

I might be right handed but you should see how I hold my pen/pencil. Also my left hand might actually be semi-retarded. It has no functionability whatsoever. Its like the red-headed step child of hands.

did you know on average let handed people die 7 years sooner than right handed people. Think about that.
Well if dying 7 years earlier means I don't have to be put in one of those god forsaken homes, count me in!
btw robs, I'll torment you from the afterlife during those seven years, I'll move things, eat your favorite foods in the kitchen. You will be wondering if the dementia is setting in and wish you were with me riding unicorns through the clouds. Think about THAT!
