"the days are just packed"

Hmm, what to blog about? I am way too tired to think of anything entertaining or witty today, since my plane (which was supposed to land at 11:55 p.m) was an hour and a half late, don't forget I live almost an hour from the airport.

I'll just talk about my fantabulous 5 days in vic. Much was accomplished in those few days... I'll number them, in order of importance:

1) I worked on my tan, hitting up the beach with various friends, whoever had time to lounge around with me. I am very proud of the fact that I have not been sunburnt once this summer. Note the golden brown..

2) I did not have to look at one single dive of a house.. I was on the verge of a hernia, sure I would have to go set up camp next semester at some random tent city with the bums trying to study my biology by candle light with the aroma of crack in the air. Brian assured me it all would work out (I have to admit, I wasn't buying it). But alas, Benson and I will be living in style in hip and happening fairfield, victoria, less than a five minute walk to Gonzales beach, ouch, rough. We have a RAD bright, big and clean basement suite thanks to connections through the Gregg's, oh Carol and Norm, you never let me down.. Can't wait to move in on August 27th..

3) Brian and I took at trip to the new MEC and loaded up on camping gear. We are now the proud new owners of the "wanderer 2" tent. We named it Walter, well I did, Bri thinks it's weird when I name things like bears, blankets, rabbits and such animate or inanimate objects that may or may not belong to me. He has learned quickly to just roll with it though, nice work.. Check our bad boy out.. We hung out in it for about two hours yesterday on the lawn, it's pretty good times. I think it will be even more exciting when we actually use it to serve its purpose in a few weeks..

4) I was a visitor at Butchart Gardens for the first time ever. I have to admit it wouldn't be the end of the world if they never see another twenty three dollars from my wallet. It was very nice but not really my style. That being said, it was still one of the highlights of the weekend. There were enough tourists there to keep us thoroughly entertained by talking, yelling, posing, eating etc. like them. Considering the fact that we were burnt out from smoking weed on the beach that day and I was trying to recover from my sugar high (3 ice creams were consumed by moi that day), we had a great time. We were likely suffering from a touch of delirium, oh my god, we laughed so hard that night. Goooood times.

.. So, there you have it, the important happenings of Katie Louise Corbett.. Maybe not the most exciting life in the world, but hey it's enough to keep the easily entertained... well, entertained.

Peace out

And...nice tent!

Brian showed us all the gear yesterday. Good times.

I used to make fun of those shoes endlessly, then one day the holey sole gods pierced my heart and I could no longer resist..

I made your brother get a pair so I wouldn't feel as stupid.

They are so damn comfy it's ridiculous, they massage your feet as you walk, simply spectacular.

I left them in vic, and am counting the days til they can make sweet love to my feet again..
