entertain me

On my travels today I stumbled upon Chapters and paid a necessary visit to pick up some new stuff to read. Since my fellow blogging friends are sharing their reads I thought I would too.
I am excited for this one, it's number 2 on my 'to read' list. The back entertained me so much that I think you should read it too..

"When Dorothy triumphed over the Wicked Witch of the West in L. Frank Baum's classic tale, we heard only her side of the story. But what about her arch-nemesis, the mysterious Witch? Where did she come from? How did she become so wicked? And what is the true nature of evil?

Gregory Maguire creates a fantasy world so rich and vivid that we will never look at Oz the same way again. Wicked is about a land where animals talk and strive to be treated like first-class citizens. Munchkinlanders seek the comfort of middle-class stability, and the Tin Man becomes a victim of domestic violence. And then there is the little green-skinned girl names Elphaba, who will grow up to become the infamous Wicked Witch of the West, a smart, prickly, and misunderstood creature who challenges all our preconceieved notions about the nature of good and evil."

This is my first Marian Keyes book. I know a few girlies who can't get enough so I thought I'd see why it's all the rage these days. It's number one on my list, I'm feeling like a good chick-book.
A few years ago my sister gave me this book. I started it and was loving it on a plane trip. I then proceeded to leave in the seat pocket in front of me, the very place they always tell you to check to make sure you check for your belongings (usually I am a good listener). Anyways, needless to say I decided it was about time to find out if the bunnies made it across the valley. Yes, the novel is written from a bunny's point of view. Just trust me on this one, it was a great read, as I am sure it will be the second time around.
Something different. Looked entertaining.

Marian Keyes is pretty great. Though, for some reason my computer isn't letting me see that book or the two after it. What are they??
